Yesterday, I made cardboard plates for my airsoft plate carrier. But since my plate carrier is so small, and the plates I made are close to accurate size, they stick out the bottom and the sides. I am looking to get a new plate carrier that’s bigger, so I hope I can make them fit in that.
To make the plates, I first measured my chest for the right size then I cut out the four proportionate sized cardboard pieces. I started by bending the pieces into a curved shape and then glued all four into two separate plates (I doubled up the cardboard pieces to make them stronger). Then, to make them even stronger and less bendable, I wrapped them all the way around with a layer of Duck Tape.
